Ramadhan is the (month)?
-
O ye who believe! Turn to Allah with sincere repentance: In the hope that your Lord will remove from you your ills?

We are nearer to him than (his) jugular vein.?

And follow the best of (the courses) revealed to you from your Lord,?

guidance for all kinds of beings:?
-
Pilgrimage thereto is a duty men owe to Allah,- those who can afford the journey;?
-
that ye may (learn) self-restraint,-?
-
and break up into sects, you have no part in them in the least:?
-
It is He Who has named you Muslims, both before and in this?

sent down the Qur´an, as a guide to mankind, also clear (Signs) for guidance and judgment (Between right and wrong)?

Had We sent this as a Qur´an (in the language) other than Arabic, they would have said: “Why are not its verses explained in detail?
What! (a Book) not in Arabic and (a Messenger an Arab
-
Permitted to you, on the night of the fasts, is the approach to your wives.?
-
and eat and drink, until the white thread of dawn appear to you distinct from its black thread; then complete your fast Till the night appears;?
-
And Allah will defend thee from men (who mean mischief).?

Never think that Allah would fail his messengers in His promise?
-
But when he came to them with Clear Signs, they said, “this is evident sorcery!”?

Is not Allah enough for his Servant?

can they, if Allah wills some Penalty for me, remove His Penalty?

Nothing will happen to us except what Allah has decreed for us?

Avoid suspicion?
-
And spy not on each other?
-
neither backbite one another?
-
Let not some men among you laugh at others?
-
Nor let some women laugh at others?
-
Nor defame nor be sarcastic to each other?
-
nor call each other by (offensive) nicknames?
-
repent, believe, and do right, who,- in fine, are ready to receive true guidance.?
-
make amends,- thy Lord, after all this, is Oft-Forgiving,?
-
and amend (his conduct), lo! He is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful.?
-

-
These were the men to whom We gave the Book, and authority, and prophethood?
-
And such are the Parables We set forth for mankind, but only those understand them who have knowledge.?
-
And We have left thereof an evident Sign, for any people who (care to) understand.?
-
Verily in this are Signs for people who believe.?
-
We made the (Ark) a Sign for all peoples!?
-
Who then has any power at all (to intervene) on your behalf with Allah, if His Will is to give you some loss or to give you some profit?
-
Verily this Qur´an doth guide to that which is most right (or stable)?
-
lawful unto you are (all) things good and pure: and what ye have taught your trained hunting animals (to catch) in the manner directed to you by Allah: eat what they catch for you, but pronounce the name of Allah over it?

Verily, I am Allah?
-
And its enlightenment as to its wrong and its right?
-
Men are the protectors and maintainers of women, because Allah has given the one more (strength) than the other, and because they support them from their means.?
-
And women shall have rights similar to the rights against them, according to what is equitable; but men have a degree (of advantage) over them.?
-
He created for you mates from among yourselves, that ye may dwell in tranquillity with them, and He has put love and mercy between your (hearts)?
-
and desire chastity, not lewdness, nor secret intrigues?
-
desiring chastity, not lust, seeing?
-
We have made lawful to thee thy wives to whom thou hast paid their dowers?
-
Allah took a covenant from the People of the Book, to make it known and clear to mankind, and not to hide it?
-
Hold firmly to what We have given you and bring (ever) to remembrance what is therein?
-
We took your covenant and We raised above you (the towering height) of Mount (Sinai): (Saying): “Hold firmly to what We have given you, and hearken (to the Law?
-

We hear and we obey?
-
Was not the covenant of the Book taken from them, that they would not ascribe to Allah anything but the truth?
-
Worship none but Allah; treat with kindness your parents and kindred, and orphans and those in need; speak fair to the people; be steadfast in prayer; and practise regular charity?
-
Shed no blood amongst you, nor turn out your own people from your homes: and this ye solemnly ratified, and to this ye can bear witness.?
-
And not the least and not the greatest of these things but are recorded in a clear Book?
-
Nothing have we omitted from the Book?
-
and any one who fulfils what he has covenanted with Allah,- Allah will soon grant him a great Reward?
-
Those that keep their plighted faith and act aright,-verily Allah loves those who act aright?
-
This Qur´an hath been revealed to me by inspiration, that I may warn you and all whom it reaches.?
-
We have sent down to thee the Book in truth, that thou mightest judge between men, as guided by Allah?
-
and with them He sent the Book in truth, to judge between people in matters wherein they differed?
-
O people of the Book! There hath come to you our Messenger, revealing to you much that ye used to hide in the Book?
-
O Messenger! proclaim the (message) which hath been sent to thee from thy Lord. If thou didst not, thou wouldst not have fulfilled and proclaimed His mission.?
-
came there not unto you messengers from amongst you, setting forth unto you My signs?
-
We have sent among you a Messenger of your own, rehearsing to you Our Signs, and sanctifying you, and instructing you in Scripture and Wisdom, and in new knowledge?

He Who ordained the Qur´an for thee?
-
this is My way, leading straight: follow it: follow not (other) paths: they will scatter you about from His (great) path: thus doth He command you. that ye may be righteous.?

who sent down the criterion to His servant, that it may be an admonition to all creatures?
-
This is the way of thy Lord, leading straight: We have detailed the signs for those who receive admonition?
-
We have indeed sent down signs that make things manifest: and Allah guides whom He wills to a way that is straight.?

this is no less than a Message and a Qur´an making things clear?
-
That it may give admonition to any (who are) alive, and that the charge may be proved against those who reject?
-
But proclaim (to them) this (truth)?
-
So admonish with the Qur´an?

that they may mediate on its Signs, and that men of understanding may receive admonition.?

we rehearse unto thee of the Signs and the Message of Wisdom?

If anyone withdraws himself from remembrance of (Allah) Most Gracious, We appoint for him an evil one?

But whosoever turns away from My Message, verily for him is a life narrowed down?

for without doubt in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find satisfaction?

when a thought of evil from Satan assaults them, bring Allah to remembrance, when lo! they see?

but (their duty) is to remind them, that they may (learn to) fear Allah?
-
and a great number among mankind?
-
Allah doth guide whom He will to His Light?
-
celebrate the praises of Allah, as ye used to celebrate the praises of your fathers?
-
There are among them some that are the righteous, and some that are the opposite?
-
And we made them (but) leaders inviting to the Fire?
-
Truly Pharaoh elated himself in the land and broke up its people into sections?
-
And We made them leaders, guiding (men) by Our Command?
-
And remember that Abraham was tried by his Lord with certain commands, which he fulfilled?
-
I will make thee an Imam to the Nations?
-
One day We shall call together all human beings with their (respective) Imams?
-
I believe that there is no god except Him Whom the Children of Israel believe in: I am of those who submit (to Allah in Islam)?
-
then rejoice in the bargain which ye have concluded?
-
say, “We believe.” Say, “Ye have no faith; but ye (only)say, ´We have submitted our wills to Allah,´ For not yet has Faith entered your hearts?
-
O ye who believe?
-
O ye of Faith?
-
though ye believe in the whole of the Book. When they meet you, they say?
-
But when they are alone, they bite off the very tips of their fingers at you in their rage?
-
But if ye turn back, ye shall have your capital sums?
-
Come to what Allah hath revealed?
-
We sent not a messenger, but to be obeyed, in accordance with the will of Allah?
-
Help ye one another in righteousness and piety, but help ye not one another in sin and rancour?
-
if any one slew a person?
-
unless it be for murder or for spreading mischief in the land?
-
it would be as if he slew the whole people: and if any one saved a life, it would be as if he saved the life of the whole people?
-
and do not say to him who offers you the greeting of peace?
-
You are not a believer?
-
If you seek the good of this worldly life, there lies with Allah abundant gain. After all, you too were such before, and then Allah was gracious to you?
-
Indeed, I am Allah.?
-
We are closer to him than [his] jugular vein?
-
Prayer restrains from shameful and unjust deeds?
-
He is Allah, the One and Only?
-
I am indeed close (to them): I listen to the prayer of every suppliant when he calleth on Me: Let them also, with a will, Listen to My call,?
-
We, by Our Command, sent inspiration to thee: thou knewest not (before) what was Revelation, and what was Faith; but We have made the (Qur´an) a Light, wherewith We guide such of Our servants as We will; and verily thou dost guide (men) to the Straight Way,?
-
None in the heavens or on earth, except Allah, knows what is hidden?
-
He hath raised you in ranks, some above others: that He may try you in the gifts He hath given you?
-
no burden do We place on any soul, but that which it can bear?
-
and has raised some of you above others in degrees [of rank] that He may try you through what He has given you?
-
We charge no soul except [within] its capacity?
-
Allah does not charge a soul except [with that within] its capacity?
-
who believe in Our verses, say, “Peace be upon you. Your Lord has decreed upon Himself mercy?
-
any of you who does wrong out of ignorance and then repents after that and corrects himself – indeed, He is Forgiving and Merciful?
-
And follow the best of what was revealed to you from your Lord before the punishment comes?
-
And when those come to you who believe in Our verses, say,?
-
Peace be upon you. Your Lord has decreed upon Himself mercy?
-
that any of you who does wrong out of ignorance and then repents after that and corrects himself?
-
It is He Who has taught the Qur´an.?
-
(Allah) Most Gracious?
-
verses?
-
And when our verses are recited to him, he turns away arrogantly as if he had not heard them?
-
O you who have believed?
-
And when I am ill, it is He Who cures me?
-
or those male attendants having no physical desire?
-
“O my Lord! Grant me that I may be grateful for Thy favour which Thou has bestowed upon me, and upon both my parents, and that I may work righteousness such as Thou mayest approve; and be gracious to me in my issue. Truly have I turned to Thee and truly do I bow (to Thee) in Islam.”?
-
so order me that I may be grateful for Thy favours, which thou hast bestowed on me and on my parents, and that I may work the righteousness that will please Thee: And admit me, by Thy Grace, to the ranks of Thy righteous Servants?
-
Grant me that I may be grateful for Thy favour which Thou has bestowed upon me, and upon both my parents, and that I may work righteousness such as Thou mayest approve; and be gracious to me in my issue. Truly have I turned to Thee and truly do I bow (to Thee) in Islam?

sit in ambush for them on Your Straight Path?
